The Ghana Football Association has announced a raffle, titled “Stars4Qatar” to raise funds for the Black Stars participation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The initiative is in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority, Zenith Bank, National Lotteries Authority and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

A seven-week game of lottery will be held to reward twenty one Ghanaians with an all-expense paid trip to Qatar.

There will also be consolation prizes in footballs and jerseys. Speaking to the media, GFA’s Executive Committee Member, Dr Tony Aubynn highlighted the impact of the initiative.

“We have come together to provide an opportunity to raise funds for the Black Stars, to create excitement for our participation in Qatar. And also to afford some people the opportunity to go and watch the game live without paying anything, apart from staking a lottery of GHC2 minimum. It is an opportunity to also work together as Ghanaians to support our Black Stars. And to energize them in Qatar for them to go to the finals.”.

Ghanaians can be part of the raffle via *899# or www.stars4qatar.football.

The World Cup starts on November 20, 2022.

Ghana will play her first match against Portugal on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Stadium 974.
