CITI Sports can confirm that former Ghana Premier League striker Yaw Annor has been pre-selected in the Togolese Senior Men’s National football Team for upcoming friendly games.

Togo is set to play against Ivory Coast in Paris, France and Equatorial Guinea in Casablanca, Morocco on September 24 respectively during the international break.

The call up all but confirms the former Ashanti Gold forward Annor has switched nationality from Ghana to fellow West African nation Togo.

A letter sent by the Togolese Football Federation to Annor’s club Ismaily Sporting Club informing the Egyptian side of the call up has been seen by CITI Sports.

24 year old Annor won the Ghana Premier League 2021-2022 Season Goal King race after bagging 22 goals to beat out Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward Franck Mbella Etouga.

Annor’s goals weren’t enough to save Ashanti Gold from getting relegated to the National Division One due to the team’s alleged involvement in a match fixing scandal.

Aside Ashanti Gold, Yaw Annor has played for Bechem United and Spanish sides Burgos CF and CF Fuenlabrada in his career.
