Neymar in, Jesus out of Brazil squad to play Black Stars in September friendly

Paris Saint Germain superstar, Neymar heralds a list of 26 players selected by Brazil’s Head Coach, Tite for two international friendlies against the Black Stars of Ghana and Tunisia in late September, 2022.

Arsenal striker, Gabriel Jesus, Daniel Alves of Liga MX club, UNAM and Aston Villa midfielder, Philippe Coutinho are notable omissions in Tite’s list.

Flamengo striker, Pedro, who had not been called up for two years returns while defenders, Bremer from Juventus and Ibañez from Roma have been handed maiden call ups.

This is the last call-up of the Brazilian team before the final list for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is released.

The five-time world Champions will play Ghana at Stade Oceane in Le Havre, France on Friday, September 23, 2022, before taking on Tunisia on the 27th of the same month, at the Parc des Princes, in Paris.

These two matches will serve as preparatory games for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar where Brazil are in Group G with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.

FULL LIST OF PLAYERS INVITED FOR THE BRAZIL NATIONAL TEAM:

GOALKEEPERS: Alisson – Liverpool (England), Ederson – Manchester City (England) , Weverton – Palmeiras (Brazil)

FULL BACKS: Alex Sandro – Juventus (Italy), Alex Telles – Seville (Spain), Danilo – Juventus (Italy)

CENTRAL DEFENDERS: Bremer – Juventus (Italy), Eder Militao – Real Madrid (Spain), Ibanez – Rome (Italy), Marquinhos – Paris Saint Germain (France), Thiago Silva – Chelsea (England)

MIDFIELDERS: Bruno Guimaraes – Newcastle (England), Casemiro – Manchester United (England), Everton Ribeiro – Flamengo (Brazil), Fabinho – Liverpool (England), Fred – Manchester United (England), Lucas Paquetá – West Ham United (England)

ATTACKERS: Antony – Manchester United (England), Roberto Firmino – Liverpool (England), Matheus Cunha – Atletico Madrid (Spain), Neymar Jr. – Paris Saint Germain (France), Pedro – Flamengo (Brazil), Raphinha – Barcelona (Spain) ,Richarlison – Tottenham (England) , Rodrygo – Real Madrid (Spain) ,Vinicius Jr. – Real Madrid (Spain)
