Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Chairman of the 2023 African Games, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, has stated his outfit will ensure the National Fitness Day exercise is sustained.

He said this in his address at the maiden National Fitness Day held at the Accra Sports Stadium today; the initiative is to promote good health practices in Ghanaians.

Ghana Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, King Tackie Tsuru II, Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Azumah Nelson headlined the event.

“We at the LOC believe in one thing, keep fit, play health and play all the games so this fits into what the Vice President has initiated and we will make sure that we sustain this particular initiative” he stated.
