“You will not succeed in Ghana”-Ugandan agent lashes out at Mukwala

Football agent, Ronald Fred Niwagira Mwine, known in Ugandan football circles as Ronnie Santos has vented his spleen on Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala in a fallout from the Ugandan striker’s move to reigning Ghanaian league champions, Kotoko .

He did not hold back at all in his tirade towards the 23 year old forward who joined Kotoko ahead of the current Betpawa Ghana Premier League campaign. He claimed Mukwala stabbed him in the back over his transfer from URA Football Club to Kotoko.

An audio recording of an interview granted by Mwine that was shared to CITI Sports by Ugandan journalist, contained portions that had Mwine lamenting his frustration over Mukwala’s failure to recognize his role in the move to Kotoko.

“Mukwala, I respect you a lot as my brother but I can assure you, you will not succeed in Ghana,” a bitter Santos asserts to Mukwala. God is not stupid, I played a very big role in keeping this deal alive by lying to the Kotoko official that you had deals in Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe which improved your value.”

“You can’t betray me like that. How do you go with other agents, get money and fail to recognise my efforts?” he stated.  (Click highlighted text to listen to audio)

An official letter that clearly recognizes Ronald Fred Niwagira Mwine as the agent involved in Mukwala’s transfer from URA has also surfaced.

Mukwala is yet to score for Kotoko even though he registered an assist in Kotoko’s 2-1 win over Nsoatreman in the betPawa Ghana Premier League on September 28 in Kumasi.
