Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari registered two assists in FK Red Star Belgrade (Crvena Zvezda)’s 2-1 win over Trabzonspor in the Europa League group stage’s penultimate round of games.

The speedy winger played a pivotal role in Red Star’s second win this season in the Europa League; the assists are Bukari’s first pair in Europe’s second-tier competition.

Bukari assisted Alexander Katai for the game’s opening goal in the 37th minute and added to his tally by setting up striker Aleksandar Pesic to score Red Star’s second goal in the 64th minute.

Tasos Bakasetas had pulled Trabzonspor even in the 39th minute to close out the first half.

Bukari lasted the entire duration of the game.

Bukari has been dealing with injuries in recent weeks and those ailments forced him to miss Red Star’s 4-1 win over Ferencvaros and a 3-0 league win over Spartak.

The 23-year-old is in the mix to get selected to Ghana’s Black Stars squad to compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later in November after a splendid start to the season.

Bukari has scored three goals and registered an assist in 13 Serbian league games.
