Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori has returned to training after picking up an injury in Orlando Pirates game against Amazulu in the DSTV Premier League in South Africa.
Ofori had to leave the game that ended 1-1 in the 54th minute after picking up a knee injury raising concerns of his availability for selection to Ghana’s Black Stars squad to compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana has been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the group stage of its fourth World Cup appearance. Ofori featured in Ghana’s 1-0 win over Nicaragua in September’s international friendly game.
Ofori missed out on Pirates 2-0 league win over Golden Arrows as a result of the injury.
However, the former Wa All Stars stopper allayed those fears by training with Orlando Pirates as the team prepares to play Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby on Saturday, October 29 at 13:30 GMT.
Kaizer Chiefs rank fifth in the league with 18 points while Orlando Pirates rank fourth with 19 points after 12 games.
