Ghana Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey is confident his team can get a positive result in its second game at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars take on South Korea at 13:00 GMT on Monday, November 28 in need of a win after losing 2-3 to Portugal in its opening game.
Lamptey substituted Alidu Seidu in the 66th minute to mark his World Cup debut but the controversy filled loss left the young right full back describing the experience as a bitter sweet moment. (Click highlighted text to read story)
He said this in an interview with Ghana Football Association Head of Communications, Henry Asante Twum, in the lead up to the crucial game.
“There were positives in the last game that we have to build upon. We’ve been training well and working tightly together as a group and listening to what the coach has to say and we’re looking to bring that out in the next game. We are confident we can get a positive result” he stated.
South Korea drew goalless in a drab match with Uruguay.
