Emmanuel Yeboah, a prospect for Ghana’s Men’s U-23 Football Team, the Black Meteors, has been named in the Romanian Superliga’s Team of the Week.

The 19-year-old starred for CFR Cluj in the last round of league games by bagging a goal and an assist in Cluj’s 3-1 win over FC U. Craiova.

Yeboah is one of three Cluj players named in the Team of the Week, alongside Cristian Manea and Ciprian Deac; Deac had two assists in the game and Manea scored Cluj’s second goal.

Yeboah assisted Rangelo Janga’s opening goal in the 16th minute and proceeded to get Cluj’s third in the 67th minute off a Deac assist.

The goal is Yeboah’s third in 10 league games in his debut season with Cluj after joining the club from Young Apostles in July this year.

He also has two assists in the league but is yet to score or register an assist in the Europa Conference League.

Yeboah was subbed off in the 87th minute for Cephas Malele while fellow Ghanaian Bismarck Adjei-Boateng was also replaced in the 87th minute.
