Ghanaian midfielder/ forward Mohammed Kudus has highlighted where his strongest position is in the lead up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

In an interview with Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, Kudus gave a strong indication about what he believes to be his strongest position.

His comments come on the back of scoring his fourth goal in the UEFA Champions League this season in AFC Ajax’s 3-1 win over Glasgow Rangers. He won the Man of the Match Award for his efforts. (Click highlighted text to read story)

However, the Dutch side couldn’t progress to the Round of 16 stage and will have to compete in the Europa League. Kudus assisted Steven Berghuis goal in the fourth minute of the win over Rangers.

“I still have the feeling that I do my best in the number 10 position…I play as number 9 for the team” he said.

Kudus lasted the entire duration of the 3-1 win over Rangers and lined up in the middle of a three man frontline for Ajax.

The 22 year old is a virtual lock to play for Ghana at this year’s World Cup where Ghana will compete in Group H with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Kudus

Kudus has played in several positions in midfield and in attack for Ghana’s Black Stars.
