See the 29 players left out of Ghana’s World Cup squad despite making 55-man list

Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has finally revealed his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The list contains familiar and unsurprising names like captain, Andre Ayew; midfielders, Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed and forward, Jordan Ayew.

There weren’t too many shocks, although the inclusions of Ibrahim Danlad and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh have come as a welcome surprise to fans of the Ghana Premier League.

Having released a 55-man list a fortnight ago, it was inevitable that Otto Addo would have to leave out a few players from his final list.

Some dropped names were more surprising than others, although injury played a huge part as well.

Joseph Wollacott, Richard Ofori, Iddrisu Baba all missed out because they picked up long-term knocks.

Take a look at the players left out of the team.
