Tema Legends Football Club were crowned champions of the third Tariq Lamptey Foundation U-15 Cup at the La Town Park after a hard-fought 2-0 win over AHOSA FC.

Organized by Brighton and Hove Albion’s Ghanaian star, Tariq Lamptey, the four-team tournament moved to Accra for the first time after being hosted in Cape Coast in its first two editions.

Participating teams included Taking Over Stars of Dansoman, Tema Legends, Shaka FC and AHOSA FC.

Tema Legends declared their intent to take home the trophy with a 6-0 walloping of Shaka FC in their opening game.

Taking Over FC, led in attack by rising talent, Boaz Otu-Okunnor and Denzel Gyan, son of Baffour Gyan, were eliminated via a penalty shootout by AHOSA FC of Asamankese after their tense battle ended 1-1.

The final between AHOSA and Tema Legends was an end-to-end affair, with AHOSA missing several gilt-edged chances.

Their profligacy was punished by the Tema boys who struck twice to win the ultimate trophy.

The winners were awarded a giant trophy, GHS 4,000 and two GOTV decoders, each with a six-month subscription.
