Right full back Christopher Nettey has wished Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club the best of luck in its future endeavours on his way out of the club.

He stated this in a message published on his Twitter page in the aftermath of his exit becoming official due to a breakdown in contract extension talks between his camp and the Porcupine Warriors.

“I thank you @AsanteKotoko_SC family so much for giving me the opportunity to serve you. I will forever be grateful and cherish every moment I worked here. I wish you success and the best of luck in your future endeavors” he wrote on Twitter.

The former Attram de Visser player had a brilliant start to life with the Kumasi based club and helped Kotoko win the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League title.

He made 62 appearances and scored once in his three year run with Kotoko earning a call up to Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars in the process.

I thank you @AsanteKotoko_SC family so much for giving me the opportunity to serve you. I will forever be grateful and cherish every moment I worked here. I wish you success and the best of luck in your future endeavors.

However, with his contract running down and a renewal failing to materialize, Nettey was released and is now a free agent.
