The Black Galaxies will take on the local national team of Algeria in an international friendly match on Saturday, 7th January 2023.

The game will be played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers with a week to the Championship of African Nations (CHAN).

This is one of two games that Ghana is expected to play in Algeria before the opening match of the tournament against Madagascar on January 15.

A Black Galaxies delegation of 23 players, the technical team, and management officials arrived in Algiers from Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, to continue preparations for the tournament which starts from January 13 to February 4.

Coach Annor Walker’s side has had a good run of results in preparatory matches following wins over Al Ahly, Egypt’s Under 20 side, Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, and Mountaineers FC.

Ghana is in Group C of the 2023 CHAN alongside Morocco, Madagascar and Sudan.
