Afriyie Barnieh rejoins Black Galaxies camp after completing FC Zurich move [VIDEO]

Former Accra Hearts of Oak attacker, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has returned to the Black Galaxies’ camp ahead of this month’s TotalEnergies African Nations Championship.

Barnieh had to leave camp in order to complete his transfer from the Ghanaian giants to Swiss side FC Zurich earlier this week.

There had been some concerns over whether the player would be able to return to the team as he had secured a move to a European side.

Clearly, the Galaxies’ technical team and Barnieh share no such concerns as he linked back up with the squad in Algiers for training ahead of the competition.

The player, who was recently named the team’s deputy captain by head coach Annor Walker, was in good spirits as he linked up with his teammates and coaching staff.

Ghana will take on Madagascar, Sudan and Morocco in Group C.

The tournament will be played from January 13 to February 4, 2023.
