Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah has officially signed for Maritzburg United Football Club after securing a move away from Orlando Pirates.

Peprah headlines a trio of acquisitions by DSTV Premiership side Maritzburg today; Ali Meza and Bradley Cross were announced earlier today as new signings.

Unlike Cross and Meza who joined Maritzburg on permanent deals, 22 year old striker Peprah’s move is a loan deal that runs till the end of the 2022-2023 season.

Maritzburg United ranks bottom of the 16 team league standings with just three wins in 15 games; the team has just eight goals in 15 games.

Former King Faisal player Peprah has largely struggled for minutes this season after a surge in the latter part of the 2021-2022 campaign.

He has made just five DSTV Premiership appearances and just one appearance in the MTN Final 8 competition all season.

Peprah joined Pirates ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 season and registered an assist and nine goals in 38 games in all competitions.

A solid return of 12 goals in 32 appearances led to his move to South Africa’s top flight football league.
