The Ghana Football Association has been hit with unexpected news as the Director of Competitions, Mark Addo has been pronounced dead this morning.
The unfortunate news was confirmed on Monday, January 9th through a Twitter post on their official page.
“It’s with immense sadness that we announce the sudden death of our Director of Competitions Mark Addo. Everybody associated with GFA is shocked and saddened to learn of his death earlier today. All our thoughts are with his wife, children, and his family at this sad time” the tweet reads

The cause of death is unknown.
However, the GFA assures the sporting public of due updates upon further engagement with the Addo family.
