Great Olympics Coach bemoans missed chances against Kotoko

Accra Great Olympics Football Club Head Coach Yaw Preko has bemoaned the high volume of chances his team missed in a headline betPawa Ghana Premier League game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

Great Olympics drew 1-1 with Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi this past weekend in the standout tie in Week 11 fixtures of the 2022-2023 season.

In his postgame interview, Preko was distraught that his team couldn’t hold on to Bashiru Abdul’s 47th minute goal as Abdrews Appau scored in the 90th minute to secure a late equalizer.

“We squandered opportunities…we shouldn’t be satisfied with a draw. The game plan really worked, we controlled the game, they were not getting any chances. This job is unbelievable because Kotoko doesn’t deserve a point” Preko said and highlighted a similar ordeal he dealt with in the matchup against Accra Hearts of Oak earlier this season.

Olympics rank 11th in the 18 team league standings with 15 points and are scheduled to play Bibiani Gold Stars on Thursday, January 12 at 15:00 GMT; Gold Stars rank fifth in the league.
