Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has decided to join English Premier League side Southampton according to multiple sources.

Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano and respected French media outlet L’ Équipe have reported that the speedy winger has picked the English south coast club over serious offers from RB Leipzig and Everton.

A 25 million Euros and five million euros in add-ons transfer fee has been agreed between Southampton and French side Rennes; Sulemana has spent the past two seasons with Rennes after securing a move from Danish side Nordsjaelland.

Sulemana won the French Ligue 1’s Young Player of the Month in October in the 2020-2021 season after scoring a goal, registering an assist and delivering a dominant performance against behemoth Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite a bright start to life in the French Ligue 1, Sulemana has endured a frustrating time at Rennes through a combination of injuries and limited playing opportunities.

Sulemana was clocked as the fastest player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup; he was clocked at a blistering 35.7 Kilometres per hour in Ghana’s 0-2 loss to Uruguay.
