Joseph Paintsil wins second consecutive Man of the Match Award after hitting “double double” mark

Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil recorded another impressive outing in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League after scoring in KRC Genk’s latest win in the top division.

Paintsil scored in the 84th minute in Genk’s 3-2 win over Gent putting the speedy winger on 10 goals and 12 assists for the season according to Transfermarkt.

The former Ferencvaros player run behind the defence to meet a through ball from Patrik Hrosovsky and show a lot of composure to beat the keeper and slot the ball between the legs of Jordan Torunarigha in the 23rd minute.

He walked away with the Man of the Match Award for the second game in a row after picking after the top individual award in Genk’s 1-1 draw with KAS Eupen.

The win is Genk’s fourth in the last five league games and keeps Genk’s atop the 18 team league standings with 62 points; seven points ahead of second placed Union Saint-Gilloise.

Genk is scheduled to play against Antwerp on Sunday, February 12 at 12:30 GMT.
