Head coach of Ghana’s U-23 side Ibrahim Tanko has called 24 players to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of excellence at Prampram to begin preparations towards the final round of games in the 2024, U-23 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Meteors will be waiting on the result of the qualifier between Ethiopia and Algeria.
This is due to DR Congo, Ghana’s initial opponent’s disqualification from the qualifiers by the Confederation of African football’s (CAF) disciplinary board for fielding an unqualified player in the first and second round of qualification.
Selected players are expected to report to camp by 2pm on the 27th of February 2023.
The 2023 TotalEnergies U-23 African Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from the 2nd of November, 2023 to the 26th of November, 2023.
The last edition was won by Egypt.
