Former Accra Great Olympics forward Maxwell Nii Abbey Quaye has joined Serbian side FK Loznica after leaving the Wonder Club after a long tussle over his departure.

Quaye is one of three arrivals to Loznica following the signings of Rashid Abubakar and Igor Petrovic; the team takes on FK Indija next on February 25.

22 year old Abubakar joined Loznica on a free transfer and has been on the books of betPawa Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions and Chinese side Heilongjiang Ice City.

25 year old Quaye can operate as a support striker or as a left winger and details of his contract are yet to be officially announced.

Loznica competes in the Serbian second tier and ranks 14th in the 16 team league standings and joins the team’s foreign contingency of players that stands at four at the time of writing.

Maxwell Quaye’s new team has five wins, four draws and 10 losses this season while scoring 19 goals and conceding 33 goals in 19 games.

In 61 Ghana Premier League games, Quaye scored 23 goals and registered two assists but was inactive for much of this season as he worked out the move to the European club.
