Former Eleven Wonders FC and Dreams FC forward Mugees Zakaria scored a worldie to secure a 2-1 win for Israeli side SC Ashdod in the past weekend’s round of games.

The 21 year old player who can operate as a right winger, scored a brace in Ashdod’s win over Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli League.

His second turned out to be the winning goal in the 85th minute and the chance was converted in a brilliant manner on the back of a mazy run.

Zakaria picked up a pass by controlling the ball with his chest and dinked the ball past two Hapoel defenders before sitting down the second defender he beat earlier. He then slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to put Ashdod up 2-1.

This was Zakaria’s fourth goal in the 2022-2023 league season that has had him feature 15 times with nine appearances coming as a starter.

Ashdod ranks sixth in the 14 team league standings after recording eight wins, eight losses and eight draws.
