The betPawa Ghana Premier League returned on Wednesday for Week 19 after a break last weekend

League leaders, Aduana FC were held to a goalless draw at home by struggling King Faisal but maintained their place at the top.

Asante Kotoko were victorious against Bechem United, courtesy of a first half Enock Morrison goal. The 1-0 win moves them move to second place on the table

Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Mantse derby. Samuel Ashie-Quaye’s 52nd-minute penalty ensured Great Olympics walked away with all three points.

Berekum Chelsea beat Sarmatex at home by a lone goal scored by Collins Ameyaw in the 65th minute, while Bibiani Gold Stars’ two first half goals from Godfred Kyei and Abednego Tetteh sealed an important win against visitors, Nsoatreman.

Elsewhere, Accra Lions were 2-1 winners when they visited Karela United. Kotoku Royals netted three second half goals when they hosted Dreams FC for a 3-0 win. Collins Kudjoe netted a brace whiles Francis Andy Kumi was also on target for Kotoku Royals.

Legon Cities shared the spoils when Tamale City paid them a visit. Kofi Kordzi’s 38th minute strike was cancelled out by Sampson Eduku minutes after the restart for a 1-1 finish.

Finally, Real Tamale United also had to settle for a point at home when their 3rd-minute goal was cancelled out by Medeama’s Derrick Fordjour’s 71st minute strike for a 1-1 score at full time.
