Ghanaian politician, Kennedy Agyapong who was sued by investigative Journalist Anas Armeyaw Anas has dedicated the dismissal of the lawsuit to former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Kennedy Agyapong was sued by Anas Aremeyaw Anas for defamation after he made a documentary about the investigative journalist public.

The investigative journalist argued that the documentary in question depicted him as a blackmailer and extortionist.

The case was overseen by Justice Eric Baah of The Accra High court, who labeled Anas’ methods as “investigative terrorism”

“I find the claims by the plaintiff [Anas Aremeyaw Anas] meritless and they are hereby dismissed, from the above, I find the plaintiff is a blackmailer and uses blackmail to extort money from his opponents and people he does not like. What the plaintiff is doing is not investigative journalism but investigative terrorism,” the Justice ruled.

Mr. Ayapong, pleased with the court ruling, requested for an apology from Anas to the former FA president and dedicated the victory to the ex FA boss

“All I will say is this victory is especially for Kwesi Nyantakyi and this gentleman. What they have gone through in the Anas humiliation in this country nobody should go through that” he said the the media.

The court ruled that Anas Aremeyaw  should pay Mr. Agyapong ₵50,000, an amount which the Assin Central MP claimed he did not need.
