Ghana and Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo has revealed his excitement at being called up to the senior national team the Black Stars.

He made his sentiments known in a Facebook post where he wrote:

“It is an honor to represent the Senior National team of the Black stars”

The left back has been called up for the very first time to the senior national team.

He will be part of the squad that will take on Angola in the upcoming African cup of nation’s qualifiers slated for the 23rd and 27th of March in Kumasi and Tatalona (near Luanda) respectively.

Kpozo was part of the provisional Qatar 2022 world cup squad but did not make the final list.

He will be relishing this opportunity to make an impact in Ghana’s qualification to Africa’s biggest football competition.

The African Cup of nations is slated to kick off on the 24th of January next year in Cote D’voire.

Ghana currently top group E with four points from two games after beating Madagascar and drawing against the  Central African Republic.
