The head coach of English top flight side Southampton, Reuben Selles has praised Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu for his “exceptional” performances during his time with The Saints.
He said this in a press conference ahead of Southampton’s game against Brentford tonight in the English Premier League at 19:30 GMT.
Salisu missed three straight games for Southampton due to injury but has since recovered and is in line to be picked for tonight’s encounter against The Bees.
“Sali [Salisu] can play in his natural position as a centre-back from the start or as a left-back. I think Sali has been exceptional in all of our time. He obviously has the chance to play tomorrow…he will have his chance to step in from the bench and perform and do as well as he knows how to do,” Selles stated.
Black Stars defender Salisu has had a fine season with Southampton and has reportedly sparked interest from Newcastle United.
