Birthday Gloom: Former Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku stressed over lack of playing time

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has expressed frustration over his lack of playing time at Olympique Khouribga.

The center forward turned 24 today but wasn’t in a festive mood as he deliberated over his situation with the Moroccan top flight side.

On his Instagram page, Opoku captioned one of several photos posted on the social media page, “Unhappy birthday to me….It’s deep” to celebrate the big day.

Opoku has featured in just three games for Khouribga since securing his move from Algerian side USM Alger earlier this year.

He joined Khouribga on the final day of the January transfer window at a time Asante Kotoko was reportedly interested in bringing Opoku back to the Baba Yara Stadium. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Opoku had a fine run during his brief stint with the Porcupine Warriors as he scored seven goals in 16 league games before securing a move to Algerian side USM Alger.

At Alger, Opoku recorded seven goals and six assists in 38 games in all competitions before moving to Morocco.
