NFL outside linebacker, Jeremiah Attaochu says he is ready to help push for the development of sports in Ghana by building an ultra-modern sports complex in Ada.

The 30-year-old, on his arrival to Ghana, said he feels Ghana is like his second home and, as such, he is looking to build a sports centre in Ada which will help develop the interest of youngsters in American football, among other disciplines.

“It feels good to be back in Ghana and anytime I am here, I feel like this is my second home and that has urged me to leave a little bit of myself here,” he started.

“It is amazing to see that the NFL as a body is taking interest in Africa and Ghana and I hope to be working with Renel Ghana Foundation to help push the development agenda in Ghana. I am particularly here to see the efforts we have made in Ada where we can have a mixture of developing talents and also having fun,” Jeremiah Attaochu said.

According to Attaochu, the end goal of this project is to have a development league where investment in the youth is prime and takes sporting talents to the next level.

Jeremiah Ojimaojo Attaochu is a Nigerian-born American football outside linebacker who is a free agent.

He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He has been on the books of clubs like San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens.
