League Leaders Aduana FC failed to extend their lead at the summit of the premier league table after they were held to a goalless draw by Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in the matchweek 30 fixture.

Paa Kwesi Fabin made some alterations to the starting line up that drew against relegated Kotoku Royals in their previous fixture.

On the part of Karela United, Ibrahim Shaibu Tanko also altered the team that thrashed Berekum Chelsea by four goals to one in their previous fixture at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.

Aduana dominated the entire game but failed to break down a very resilient Karela side who are currently flirting with relegation this season.

The draw for Karela United means they have stretched their unbeaten run to three games, maintaining their position on top the league standings with 39points.

Aduana FC will have their lead at the top of the table cut to two points with just four games to end the season.

Elsewhere in Tarkwa, Medeama SC returned to wining ways following a 2-1 win over fellow title contenders Bechem United.

Jonathan Sowah put the Yellow & Mauves ahead in the 20th minute, before experienced defender Vincent Atinga added the second for Evans Adotey’s side.

Acquah Francis got the equalizer for Bechem United later in the 79th minute.
