Ghana center, Amida Brimah, played a pivotal role as JL Bourg’s sealed its place in the French Pro A playoffs semifinals for the first time in the club’s history.

Bourg beat Dijon 92-90 thanks to a jump shot from Jordan Lloyd with 3.4 seconds remaining to win Game 2 of their 3-game series. Bourg beat Dijon 79-73 in Game 1 to build the base for their progression.

Brimah played 14 minutes in Game 2 and registered eight points, three rebounds, a steal, a block and a turnover while Lloyd led the team with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)

The 29-year-old converted three of four two-point shot attempts but scored only two of five free throw shot attempts.

Bourg ended the 2022-2023 regular season ranked fifth with 19 wins and 15 losses and in the playoffs, they and Lyon were the only teams to sweep their quarterfinal series
