Bayer Leverkusen right full back Jeremie Frimpong has been left out of the Dutch National Men’s Football Team’s provisional squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League semifinals.
The provisional list of players for the Netherlands semifinal clash against Croatia on June 14 was announced by Dutch head coach Ronald Koeman recently.
Frimpong who plays as a right wing back missed out on a spot in the 32 man squad that had the likes of Fulham’s right full back Kenny Tete called up. The winner of the Netherlands-Croatia clash takes on the winner of the Spain-Italy clash.
22 year old Frimpong is eligible to play for Ghana despite being part of the Netherlands team that competed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Frimpong is of Ghanaian descent through his mother and is eligible to play for the Black Stars; he has nine goals and 10 assists in 45 games in all competitions this season.
His form has sparked serious interest from Manchester United.
