KPANDO HEARTS OF LIONS

Kpando Heart of Lions have won the 2022/2023 Division One League Zone 3, effectively securing their promotion to the next season of the Betpawa Premier League.

The club was relegated in the 2014/2015 season and will now make their return to the elite league after an eight-year absence.

Their promotion to the top flight was confirmed following the defeats of Vision FC and Koforidua Semper Fi FC in Division One League Week 25.

Vision FC lost 0-2 to Attram De Visser while Semper Fi FC fell 0-2 to Na God FC.

Hearts of Lions have won 18, drawn two, and lost four out of their 24 league matches, topping the table with 56 points.

As a result, the Kpando-based club now have a 16-point advantage over the chasing pack who still have five league games left to play.

In a social media post, the club said:

Massive thanks to the fans, the Paramount Chief of Akpini Traditional Area- Okpekpewuokpe Togbuiga Dagadu IX, the Akpini Traditional Council, our sponsors, Frerol Rural Bank, our board chairman, Eric Kutortse, the GFA/Division One League Board, [and] clubs in our zone.

We totally appreciate you on this day.
