MTN FA Cup Final: King Faisal, Dreams FC to face-off for CAF Confed Cup slot

King Faisal secured their place in the final of the MTN FA Cup by beating Nsoatreman 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in the Ashanti Region.

The first goal came as early as the 9th minute when Samuel Ofori put Nsoatreman in the lead with a spot-kick

Baba Yahaya levelled the tie on the 35th-minute mark.

Frimpong Boateng put King Faisal in the lead a minute before the end of the first half.

Kwame Nana Junior restored parity few minutes into the second half before Samuel Adom Antwi scored to give King Faisal the lead in the 66th minute.

King Faisal will face Dreams in the final of the knockout competition.

The winner qualifies to represent Ghana in the 2023/2024 CAF Confederations Cup.

Dreams FC qualified for their first FA Cup final after beating Skyy FC 2-1 in the semis at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday.

Sylvester Simba opened the scoring in the 2nd minute after capitalizing on a defensive error to curl the ball into the bottom corner.

Baba Hamadu Musah missed from the penalty spot when he was presented with the opportunity to level the game.

The Dawu-based club got a second goal in the18th minute after Huzaif Ali strike from the edge of the box found the back of the net.

Skyy FC got one back in the 35th minute through Eric Antwi Konadu.
