Week 3 of the 2023 Rugby League 13s Championship at the University of Ghana Ajax Park saw two exciting games take place, with the first match being the most highly anticipated one.
Defending champions, Skolars RLFC took on their rivals and last year’s runners-up, Bulls RLFC.
In a closely contested match, it was the Bulls who took an early lead and emerged victorious, with a final score of 24-6.
From the start, both teams were determined to secure a win, with Bulls RLFC taking the lead with a try early in the first half.
Skolars RLFC fought back and scored a try of their own, but Bulls RLFC quickly regrouped and scored one more try, taking a 10-6 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Bulls RLFC continued to dominate, scoring two more tries and effectively shutting down Skolars RLFC’s attempts to make a comeback.
The match ended with a final score of 24-6, with Bulls RLFC celebrating their well-deserved victory over their rivals.
In the second match of the day, Nungua Tigers took on Accra Bears, with the former securing their second win of the championship.
Nungua Tigers dominated the game from start to finish, with a final score of 56-4.
The team displayed great teamwork and skill, scoring tries consistently throughout the game.
Accra Bears put up a strong fight but were ultimately unable to match Nungua Tigers’ pace and precision.
