Rugby League Week 5: Bulls end Round 1 as league leaders

Round 1 of the 2023 Rugby League 13s Championship came to a close with captivating matches that showcased the talent and determination of the participating teams.

The matches took place at the University of Ghana Ajax Park, and Bulls RLFC and Skolars emerged as winners in their respective fixtures.

In the first encounter, Bulls RLFC secured a 20-0 victory over Accra Bears, who faced unforeseen circumstances that prevented them from fielding a team.

Bulls RLFC, displaying professionalism and understanding, accepted the walkover result.

The second game of the day witnessed an intense battle between Skolars and Accra Panthers RLFC.

Both teams exhibited a strong desire to win, engaging in fierce

competition.

In the end, Skolars emerged victorious with a final score of 18-4.

The Skolars showcased their offensive prowess and maintained a solid defensive strategy that proved challenging for Accra Panthers.

Amidst the competitive display, the standout player of the match was Slyvanus Kofi from Accra Panthers RLFC.

Kofi’s exceptional performance on the field earned him the well-deserved title of Respect Man of the Match.

His contributions were evident in both attack and defence, demonstrating his versatility and impact within the game.
