14 of the 24 teams expected for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have been confirmed in the ongoing qualifying series.
That means 10 teams across the various groups will have to play for in the final group games of the qualifiers.
Just like how Group E which has Ghana, Angola and Central African Republic scrambling for qualification, Group C is also very open with Cameroon and Namibia seeking places in the AFCON and Group I too have a similar story with DR Congo, Gabon, Sudan and Mauritania having real chances of making it.
Groups A, B and H have all been wrapped up.
Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau have proven too strong and have made it to the AFCON which will be hosted by the Ivory Coast in January 2024.
Big boys, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, Senegal and Burkina Faso have also booked their tickets to next year’s continental showpiece.
