The Black Meteors of Ghana held their first training session in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday, June 22, after arriving for the 2023 edition of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Twenty-six players were involved in Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s training session in Rabat.
Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana, Hamburger SV attacker, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, and Kwadwo Poku Mahala of Los Angeles FC, will not be part of the team.
The team had their pictures taken by the CAF media yesterday, a day after arriving in Morocco.
The official team and squad numbers will be announced by the Ghana Football Association soon.
Ghana are in Group A for the first phase of the tournament and will play Congo on June 25 before facing host nation, Morocco on June 27 and ending with Guinea on June 30.
