Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, the Ghanaian striker, has completed a move to Selangor FC in Malaysia.
This move marks a significant step in his career as he joins the team on a free transfer, signing a six-month contract. The aim is to strengthen Selangor FC’s position in the Malaysia Super League during the latter half of the season.
Selangor FC currently holds the second spot in the league table, and Boakye-Yiadom’s arrival is anticipated to greatly enhance the team’s attacking capabilities.
Prior to joining Selangor FC, Boakye-Yiadom played for Al Akhdar in Libya, where he made 11 appearances and scored three goals across various competitions.
Throughout his career, Boakye-Yiadom has featured for prominent Italian clubs such as Genoa, Sassuolo, Juventus, Atalanta, and Latina.
Subsequently, he ventured into Serbia, where he joined Red Star Belgrade. During his time with the Serbian giants, the 30-year-old striker secured four league titles. He later went on to play for Górnik Zabrze, Beitar Jerusalem, and PAS Lamia, before joining Selangor FC.
Remarkably, Selangor FC is his 14th club since he embarked on his professional journey with Genoa.
