The GFA headquarters in Accra hosted a successful meeting between the Executive Council and Division One League Clubs.
This gathering was part of a broader stakeholder engagement focused on proposing amendments to the 2019 GFA Statutes.
During the meeting, various topics were discussed, including Congress representation, Division One League seats on the Executive Council, and policies related to the development of the second-tier competition.
The clubs provided valuable feedback and suggestions, which the Council duly noted, regarding the future of the Division One League and the Ghana Football Association as a whole.
President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku chaired the meeting, with Vice President Mark Addo in attendance.
Notable Executive Council members present were Habiba Atta Forson, Dr. Randy Abbey, Dr. Tony Aubynn, George Amoako, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Frederick Acheampong, Alhaji Salifu Zida, Linford Asamoah Boadu.
Representatives from the 48 Division One League clubs, including Chief Executive Officers and senior officials, were also in attendance.
This stakeholder engagement initiative commenced around five weeks ago, with the Executive Council meeting the Regional Football Association Chairmen. A similar session was then held with the Women’s Premier League clubs on Tuesday, May 6, 2023.
The Executive Council will continue this engagement by meeting with the 18 Premier League clubs on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
