Ghana’s Armwrestling Team has made history by achieving the remarkable feat of “host and win” at the 12th Africa Armwrestling Championship.
With an incredible display of strength and skill, the team from Ghana secured a total of 132 medals, solidifying their dominance in the competition.
The Golden Arms demonstrated their prowess by outshining formidable opponents such as Egypt and Nigeria throughout the championship.
In an impressive showcase of their capabilities, Team Ghana amassed a staggering 1088 points, earning them the top spot on the medal table.
Their exceptional performance included a remarkable haul of 47 gold, 55 silver, and 30 bronze medals, highlighting the team’s consistency across various categories.
This outstanding achievement signifies a significant improvement for Team Ghana compared to their previous performances in the tournament.
Egypt, another strong contender, secured the second position on the medal table, amassing a respectable total of 282 points through 25 gold and 4 silver medals.
Nigeria also showcased their talent and determination, earning 247 points with an impressive collection of 10 gold, 9 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
Mali and Senegal, two rising forces in armwrestling, rounded off the top five of the medal table, showcasing their growing presence in the sport.
The championship, held at the GNAT Hall in Accra, provided a thrilling platform for armwrestlers from across Africa to compete and showcase their abilities, with Ghana emerging as the undisputed champion.
