Captain James Ward-Prowse, Carlos Alcaraz, Che Adams and Tino Livramento were among such players who reported to the team’s base.
This year’s preseason marks a significant departure from Southampton’s schedule in recent years with the team suffering relegation from the EPL in the 2022-2023 season and is preparing for life in the Championship.
24 year old Salisu missed a significant chunk of the past campaign in the latter half of the campaign due to a knee injury that prevented him from featuring in Ghana’s 2023 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.
The Athletic reported the former Real Valladolid player was missing games for Southampton due to doubts over his commitment to the club. (Click highlighted text to read report)
His fine performance in the campaign has prompted interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspurs. (Click highlighted text to read report)
