Black Meteors Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko was unimpressed with the team’s performance, despite Ghana’s win over Congo in their first Group A game at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
So unimpressed that, he went hard on the boys in the post-game press conference, questioning the team’s lapse in concentration after conceding two late goals.
Ghana took a three-goal lead thanks to Ernest Nuamah and a brace from Emmanuel Yeboah.
However, in the seven minutes of added time, the team gave away two goals to set up a frantic end to the contest in Rabat.
“I am extremely angry with my players. How could we let the match slip away like this?” he quizzed in his post-match presser.
“We will remind them of the objectives we need to achieve and the importance of our presence here.”
Though angry, the team has three points, sits top of Group A and will play host nation, Morocco on Tuesday at 8 pm.
