Black Meteors head coach, Ibrahim Tanko says his side is determined to grab maximum points when they come up against host nation, Morocco in the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana will lock horns with the North Africans at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on June 27, 2023, with the ultimate aim for Ibrahim Tanko and his lads.
The two powerhouses of African football started the tournament on a high with Ghana recording a 3-2 win over Congo and Morocco beating Guinea 2-1 on opening day.
With the stakes high, Ibrahim Tanko in the pre-game press conference believes both sides have the same objective, but he wants it more.
“We have only today to prepare, but we will do our best to have a good session today”,
“Both teams won our first matches, and so I expect a good match tomorrow. But we want to win”, Coach Tanko said at the pre-match press conference.
Coach Tanko further stated that Ghana has a strategy in place and also encouraged his players to avoid making errors against Morocco.
“After a game like that, it’s normal to voice out your feelings to the boys but it’s behind us now, and we are ready for the game tomorrow”.
“The Moroccans have their strategy for the game and we equally have ours.
We will train today and we know it will be a good game”.
“What is key is to make very less mistakes. We had a good game u til after the 90 mins. I will encourage my players to avoid mistakes”, he added.
