After a disappointing campaign in the 2022-2023 season, Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has shaken up its technical department with a raft of appointments.

However, a head coach wasn’t named in the list of appointees to the remade technical team; interim head coach David Ocloo was let go following the conclusion of the immediate past league season.

The Phobia club’s list of appointments is headlined by former Black Queens head coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo as head coach of Oaks FC (Hearts’ Female Team).

The former Ghanaian international recently made the headlines after stating her willingness to return to her former role with Ghana’s national female team. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

1991 FIFA Under 17 World Cup winner Sebastian Barnes has been appointed as the Head of Scouting for the club he played for before featuring for the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz 05.

Former Dutch footballer Rene Hiddink will serve as the club’s Technical Director while Carlos Klu and Jerry Adjei Asare have been named as Welfare Officer and Goalkeeper Coach respectively.
