MTN FA Cup Chairman, Wilson Arthur, says he was impressed with the way Ghana’s football fraternity conducted proceedings at the just-ended Ordinary Congress.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s 29TH Ordinary Congress Session was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology’s Great Hall in Kumasi last Monday.

Speaking in an interview with Citi Sports at the event, Wilson Arthur, who doubles as President of Division One side Skyy FC, picked out the comportment of the members at the event as a major takeaway.

“I like the way we comported ourselves. I am sure a lot of people have issues but we decided that as a family, we will talk about our issues among ourselves…They [the GFA administration] have done very well in terms of how much money has come in but we need to make sure we are getting value for money but so far I am impressed.”

New Edubiase Football Club President, Abdul Salam Yakubu stormed out of the Great Hall during Kurt Okraku’s speech because he deemed the GFA President’s address as more of a campaign message, in a rare moment of chaos at the event.

The GFA elections are scheduled to take place in October.
