Bechem United Football Club Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Gyasi Atuahene, has stated Kassim Mingle Ocansey’s exit from the club wasn’t down to money but to take on a new challenge.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after Ocansey’s departure from Bechem and appointment by Nations FC was confirmed recently.

Mingle teams up with Nations after the Dr. Kwame Kyei owned club gained promotion to the Betpawa Ghana Premier League 2023-2023 season.

Atuahene was adamant the former Accra Great Olympics trainer’s exit to Nations FC is anything but connected to money.

“Per the reasons he-Mingle-gave, he didn’t attribute it (his exit) to money. He only indicated that the stay that he has had with the club is enough…so he thinks that it is high time he moved on and try other challenges. I can confidently say that per the discussions that went on, it had nothing to do about money.”

Under Mingle, Bechem United finished third in the 2022-2023 league standings and finished as runner up in the 2021 MTN FA Cup.
