Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed an agreement has been reached with Libyan side, Al Ahly SC for the transfer of midfielder and club captain, Richard Boadu, on a permanent deal, subject to medicals.

The skipper, whose football career began with the Club’s youth side, rejoined Kotoko in September 2021, playing an integral role in the club’s Premier League triumph in the 2021/2022 season under Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has made a return to the club for a second stint.

Boadu was named Club captain at the start of the 2022–2023 season, having shown resilience, commitment, and stellar performances in his debut season with the club.
