Southampton has rejected two bids from French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco for Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu.
According to British media outlet, Sky Sports, the south coast club wants 20 million Euros for the defender who has impressed in the English Premier League over the past two seasons.
The 2016-2017 Ligue 1 champions are expected to make a third and improved bid for 24 year old Salisu who played 28 games in all competitions and registered an assist in the past season.
Monaco has been linked to Salisu for a while this offseason as the French side looks at the former Real Valladolid player as a potential replacement for Axel Disasi.
Disasi has courted strong interest from Manchester United; Malang Sarr played out the 2022-2023 season on loan at Monaco but has been recalled by parent club Chelsea.
According to the same source, EPL side Fulham is interested in the services of Salisu who is among a bevy of players set to leave Southampton following the team’s relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.
