Ghana National Under 23 Men’s Football Team striker, Emmanuel Yeboah, has missed out on a place in the 2023 CAF AFCON Under 23 Group Stage Best XI.

The tournament that is taking place in Morocco is at the semifinal stage with host nation Morocco taking on Mali while Egypt takes on Guinea on Tuesday, July 4.

Ghana crashed out of the tournament after losing 1-5 to Morocco, drawing 1-1 with Guinea and beating Congo 3-2. The Black Meteors’ four point haul wasn’t enough to get Ghana one of two qualification spots to the next round.

Despite scoring three goals and adding an assist in three games, the CFR Cluj was not included in the list of top performers at the group stage.

Yeboah climbed off the bench to score twice and assist Ernest Nuamah in Ghana’s win over Congo; he scored in the draw against Guinea.

Unsurprisingly, the only unbeaten teams in the tournament, Egypt and Morocco, dominated the select side with four members from each nation making the list.
